MANGO spring/summer 2010

Here is new collection spring/summer 2010 by Mango with actresses  Scarlett Johanson. She has been face of Mango since collection fall/winter 2010. Before that face of Mango were sisters Monica and Penelope Cruz. Whole collection reminds me something of vintage style. As you can see it looks like it was made in hotel room. Despite Scarlett rotates one sexi position after another, photos are in cold colours. They are made by photographer Mario Sorrenti and Damian Sanchez, the Creative Director of MANGO styled the shoot which was shot in location in New York City. Hairstyling and make-up was provided by Bob Recine and Stéphane Marais, respectively.

But it isn’t end because for Mango shot Sophie Auster, too. If you did’n know,  Sophie is the New York based actress, model, singer and the daughter of the acclaimed American author Paul Auster. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she began her acting career at the age of nine. One of her first films was Lulu on the Bridge, based on her father’s novel. The actress also starred in the film Circuit, directed by Xavier Ribera and sponsored by MANGO. In her singing career, she is currently preparing the launch of her second album with the group One Ring Zero.

The photo shoot of this multi-talented woman took place at New York’s legendary Electric Lady Studios, in the heart of the Great Apple and used by legendary singers and groups from Jimmy Hendrix to the Stones. During the shoot, Sophie revealed her singing side, posing with a guitar and a true rock star attitude, in a location where the greats recorded famous records. In my opinion they are nicer because they look more natural (to be sure, Sophie is in photo studio like in work, but I doubt that Scarlett works in hotels room – only if she would be chambermaid- or is lying in bed all days…)

  1. It’s onerous to search out educated folks on this subject, but you sound like you recognize what you’re talking about! Thanks
